Welcome to the comprehensive guide for the installation and usage of the 2-wire cable controller for LED pool lights. Whether you are a professional installer or a pool owner, this manual provides essential information to ensure a safe and successful installation. Let's dive into the details!

Technical Specifications

Here are the technical specifications for the LED pool light controller:

  • Standard input voltage: 12V AC
  • Standard input wattage: 10W, 20W, 25W, and 35W
  • Synchronized color-changing capability

Instructions and Usage

This LED pool light utilizes advanced technology to create a vibrant ambiance in your pool. With three primary colors - red, green, and blue (or four colors with RGBW) - it can produce a wide range of colors to suit your mood and enhance the pool atmosphere. You can select any of the 14 pre-programmed effects using the on/off switch of your pool lights. Additionally, the LED lights can be set to warm white or cool white. The constant current drive and True PWM technology ensure a long lifespan for the LED lamps. These lights are fully waterproof and should only be used underwater.

  • Designed for new pools or pools with existing surface-mounted lamps that require replacement
  • Intended for one-time use only; replacement is necessary if the light becomes faulty
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for the assembly, installation, or operation of any electrical components inserted or handled at locations other than their premises.

RGB LED Light Programs

Here are the programs for RGB LED lamps:

  1. Turn the lights on and off within 10 seconds to cycle through the pre-programmed colors such as red, green, blue, RG, RGB, and Flush.
  2. Turn the lights on and off for longer than 10 seconds but less than 15 seconds to synchronize all the lights connected to one transformer.
  3. Turn the lights on and off for longer than 15 seconds to activate the memory function.

Installation

To ensure a successful installation, follow these guidelines:

  • Mount all lamps on the pool wall, approximately 700mm below the water surface, in easily accessible areas.
  • It is highly recommended to use an underwater cable gland.
  • Install all lamps on the same transformer and switch.
  • Each lamp comes with a cable length of 3m, 4m, 6m, 10m, 16m, or 20m, depending on your needs, allowing for multiple lamps to be connected to one junction block.
  • Remove the bracket from the back of the lamp. Position the bracket at the desired location, mark the holes, drill them, insert the wall plugs, and secure the bracket to the pool wall using stainless steel screws. Route the cable behind the lamp and attach the lamp to the bracket.

Connecting the Lamp Cable to Power Source

Refer to the provided diagram below to connect the lamp cable to the power source:

  • Note: Do not use electronic transformers that may damage the light. An industrial frequency transformer, such as a toroidal transformer or a square transformer, should be used.

Maintenance and Replacement

This lamp requires no maintenance and is designed for one-time use. If the lamp becomes faulty, it cannot be repaired and must be replaced. Before handling, ensure there is NO power supplied to the lamp. To replace the lamp, detach it from the bracket. Make sure the new lamp has the same model and features as the one being replaced.

  • For cable pipes with an inner diameter of 26mm or more, you can use the retrofit connector to easily connect the cable. Simply crimp both connections using the splice connectors, slide the cable sleeve over the connection, tighten the gland nuts by hand, and then insert the retrofit connector into the pipe. The retrofit connector is ordered separately.

Usage Guidelines

  • The lamp should only be operated underwater when securely mounted against the vertical walls of the pool. Never turn on the lamp if it is not underwater.
  • For colored lamps, you can choose pre-programmed effects and combinations using the on/off switch of your pool lights. Simply turn them on and off within 10 seconds, but less than 15 seconds.
  • If the light has been turned on for more than 15 seconds, it will remember the last program when turned on again. To synchronize the lights, ensure they are correctly installed on the same switch, turn them on for longer than 10 seconds and less than 15 seconds, and then turn them on again. They will all follow the program. Now, you can choose a program by turning them on and off within 10 seconds.

Safety Precautions

  • Only qualified personnel should handle the installation, following the required qualifications for this type of work.
  • Avoid contact with electrical voltage.
  • Comply with current safety standards.
  • Follow IEC 364-7-702 standards for building wiring, special wiring, and pools.
  • Replacement should be performed with the lamp disconnected from the electrical power system.
  • Do not handle any electrical components with wet feet.

Warranty

The manufacturer provides a two-year warranty for these resin-filled LED underwater lights against defects in material and workmanship from the date of purchase.
